Longtime EPCE member Eversource has received the 2025 Community Partnership Award from the Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD).  The recognition is the latest reminder that CEWD and EPCE share a similar mission: ensuring the current and next generation of energy employees are ready for the energy industry of today and tomorrow.

The CEWD Community Partnership Award highlights several examples of Eversource's commitment to strengthening the energy workforce. Grounded in collaboration with community colleges and labor organizations, they echo EPCE and CAEL's focus on linking learning and work in support of adult learners.

Examples include a longstanding partnership with Bunker Hill Community College and UWUA Local 369 in Massachusetts; a lineworker certificate program created with Capital Community College and IBEW Locals 420 and 457 in Connecticut and expanded to Housatonic Community College;  and an electrical lineworker preapprentice certificate program developed with Manchester Community College and IBEW Locals 104 and 1837 in New Hampshire.

Eversource employees have enrolled in more than 2,200 EPCE courses. The EPCE membership has also delivered more than $420,000 in tuition discounts to the company’s education benefits program.

Eversource employs more than 10,000 workers and serves approximately 4.6 million electricity, natural gas, and water customers in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
